2. Website access and server logs
When this website is accessed, the web server necessarily processes technical connection data. This may include the IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, referrer information, browser and operating-system information, HTTP status code and the amount of data transferred.
This processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain its technical stability and security, diagnose faults and protect the service against misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are the secure and reliable operation of this website and the protection of our technical infrastructure.
Log data is retained only for as long as it is required for these purposes or for the investigation of a specific security incident, and is then deleted unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise. Technical service providers may process such data on our behalf where this is necessary to operate and secure the website.
3. Contact by email or contact form
If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we process the information you provide, including your contact details and the content of your message, in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.
Where your enquiry concerns a contract or steps requested before entering into a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the appropriate handling of communications addressed to us.
Contact data is retained only for as long as required to process the enquiry and any resulting business or legal relationship, subject to applicable statutory retention requirements.
4. No analytics or advertising tracking
The public website does not use Google Analytics, advertising tracking or social-media tracking plugins. We do not use Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, WhatsApp or XING plugins to track visitors on this website.
5. Embedded YouTube videos
Some pages contain videos hosted by YouTube. These videos are implemented using the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com and a click-to-load mechanism. A connection to YouTube is not initiated merely because you open the page. The external video is requested only after you actively choose to load it.
When you load a video, your browser establishes a connection to YouTube/Google. In doing so, technical data such as your IP address and information about the page and browser may be transmitted to Google. Further processing is governed by Google’s own privacy terms and may include processing outside the European Union or European Economic Area.
The video connection is initiated only to provide content that you explicitly request. To the extent that information is stored on or accessed from your terminal equipment in this process, this is governed by Section 25 TDDDG. Our purpose in initiating this connection is limited to providing the video you requested. Google may process data for its own purposes as described in its privacy information.
YouTube is a service of Google. Further information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
6. External links and LinkedIn
This website contains links to external websites, including LinkedIn and independent evidence sources. Displaying a normal external link does not itself establish a connection to the external provider. If you follow such a link, the external provider processes the resulting connection data under its own responsibility and privacy terms.
7. Cookies and local storage
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on the public website. Technically necessary storage or access may occur where it is required to provide a service expressly requested by the user or to maintain essential website functionality. Such technical use is governed by Section 25(2) TDDDG where applicable.
8. Your data-protection rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. For organisations established in Schleswig-Holstein, the competent supervisory authority is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD).
9. Changes to this privacy notice
We may update this privacy notice when the website, its technical operation or applicable legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
