Founded by Diana S. Engelhard, EU Architect for Security, Innovation and Climate, the company pioneers fully autonomous vessels operating without remote control, based on real-time edge decision-making architectures comparable to autonomous driving systems.
In 2021, Unleash Future Boats successfully launched ZeroOne, the world’s first fully autonomous and zero-emission vessel registered with an official boat number and valid global insurance — marking a milestone in sovereign European maritime autonomy. Since 2023, the company has advanced high-speed autonomous navigation and maneuverability through sensor fusion in the Baltic Sea.
